Sunwon Solar ("we") sells and manages rooftop solar systems for homes in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect

How we use it
- To answer your enquiry, visit, quote, install and service your system.
- To register your installation on the PM Surya Ghar portal and with your electricity board so you receive the subsidy.
- To help you apply for a solar loan, if you ask us to.
- To send you updates about your installation on WhatsApp, SMS or phone.
We never sell your data. We don't use it for unrelated marketing without asking you first.
Who we share it with
- The Government of India's PM Surya Ghar portal, your electricity board (PED Puducherry or TNPDCL), and TEDA for the Tamil Nadu top-up, as the subsidy process requires.
- Our installation partner, for the site survey and installation.
- Your bank, only if you apply for a loan through us.
- If you were referred by a Sunwon partner, they see only your first name, initial and installation status, never your phone number.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 2 years if you don't buy. For customers, we keep records for as long as your system warranty and our legal and tax obligations require. We delete copies of Aadhaar and bank documents once the subsidy is credited, unless the law requires us to keep them.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent for future contact at any time. Message us on WhatsApp or email us and we'll respond within 7 days.
