Does solar work in the monsoon and near the sea?
Yes. It makes less on cloudy days and more on sunny ones; what matters is the yearly total. Near the sea, rinse the panels with plain water every 2–4 weeks. We use galvanised structures built for coastal wind.
Will I have power during a power cut?
Not with a standard on-grid system. It switches off during a power cut so that linemen working on the lines stay safe. If you want backup, we can add a battery.
The EB connection is in my father's name. Is that a problem?
No. The subsidy is paid to the person named on the connection, so you can apply in his name or transfer the connection first. We explain both options at the roof check.
Can I get a loan?
Yes. Public-sector banks give collateral-free solar loans under PM Surya Ghar. We help with the paperwork; the bank decides the final rate.
